What a Crazy Day!

Let me just say that I am so thankful that yesterday is over with. My day seemed strange from the beginning but by the end of the day, I KNOW that it was strange. Let me paint a picture of the setting: It was pouring buckets of rain and the sky was black. About 4:30 PM a guy with long hair came into the shop. I was all the way in the back working on my books so I didn't hear him come in. He yelled for me and I came up front. I always carry my phone with me (Just in case) and asked if I could help him. He asked if I knew who the lady was that was laying face down on the ground in front of my shop. I of course thought, "WHAT?" and replied no and went walking to the front of my shop. As I was walking outside, I started dialing 911. When I got out there, he was right. There was a lady laying face down on the grass in front of my shop in the pouring down rain. We went over to make sure that she was still breathing. She was breathing but she was unconscious. I was a little scared because I have never had this kind of thing happen to me. EMS was supposed to be on the way, however, it took them around 25-30 minutes to get there. I called them twice! By this time, all of Andrews was there in front of my shop in the pouring rain. What a day this turned out to be. I got her ID out of her handbag and she had a Kentucky ID. She didn't have a cell phone but she had a notebook in there with numbers. Another lady and myself started calling the numbers to find out how to get a hold of someone in her family. To make a long, long story shorter the family gave EMS information that she was on drugs. I have worried about her all night wondering if she was alright because she never became conscious. She did groan a little bit but that was it. Because it was raining buckets, I got an umbrella out of my car and held it over her. Another bystander had a towel in their car and she put it over her. (Although it was white) I can only imagine what the gossip will be today at work with everything that went on. After that confusion, I had to take Reeves to bible school. I was drenched from head to toe and did not feel like going but if you saw the excitement on Reeves' face, there was no way I wasn't going. I planned on going for a little while and then leaving (to get dry of course). That was not happening in his book since he is attached to me at the hip. He told everyone that we were partners and I was his best friend. I enjoyed every moment that we were at bible school. He had so much fun and I can't wait to go back tonight. I hope there is no more excitement at work today. Just thought I would share this with everyone!!

Catching Up!!

Blowing out the candles!!

I can't believe the weekend is finally over. This weekend was very busy and when I woke up this morning I couldn't believe it was over already. Saturday was Mr. James's birthday. He is my momma's fiance and she decided to throw him a party. He has a huge family and some of our family came down which made for a wonderful time. Everything went great and the evening was a lot of fun.

Sunday was wonderful because we got to shower Rita with pink gifts for her new bundle of joy, Caroline. It was wonderful getting to see everyone and catching up. Rita and Andy are going to be wonderful parents and Caroline is going to be so loved (not to mention "Best Dressed").

Amanda, Angie and myself (Love you girls)

Angie and Tyler (absolutely adorable)

My sweet boy was pooped!

Isn't Tyler the most precious baby ever. I could kiss those sweet lips. My good friend Angie has an amazingly sweet baby boy. I forget how precious they are at that age. I am so proud of you, Angie and I will give Frank a little bit of credit. Congratulations and enjoy all those moments that you can. I had a blast seeing everyone and catching up. Life stays so busy that you forget how much you miss everyone until you get back together.

Look how grown Matthew is getting. I can't believe he can ride this little scooter. I remember when Reeves rode this same scooter and it doesn't seem like that long ago. I just can't believe it!! Look how hard he is concentrating on this thing. I love it!!

He is so proud of himself and I am so proud of him!! That smile melts my heart more than you will ever know, Matthew.

Relaxation

Hey everyone!! I know it has been a while since I last blogged but when I am presented with the choice of sleep or blog, I usually choose sleep. (HAHA) A lot has been going on lately. Last weekend, June 27, 28, and 29th, my mom, my two brothers and myself took a weekend trip to Cherokee, North Carolina. We got to get away from the children and spouses and just enjoy each other. It has been a really long time since we had the opportunity to do that and what a blast it was. Although it was great to get away, it was wonderful to return. I missed my boys so much and was ready for some sugar!! Look at where my crazy 3 year old wanted to take a bath the other day. And what was crazier was that I went a long with it. (What we moms do for our angels)

Aren't they adorable! Yes the water went everywhere but it was so much fun. Matthew is growing so quickly that I wish I could stop him at different intervals because I feel like I am missing things. We are moving so quickly day to day that I just want to stop and absorb them. Reeves has become such an amazing brother. I am so proud of him. He is learning so much everyday and it just amazes me. Having two is definitley harder than I thought, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. We had a pool party at our house on the 4th of July and it was so much fun. We ate hamburgers and hotdogs and swam all day. I had a great time enjoying family and relaxing by the pool.

A couple more pictures

After the long day....
