This was Reeves when I had to wake him up early for his first day of school. He has always loved his sleep so I knew this was going to be difficult. I wake him up around 6:45 Am every morning for school because I still have to get Matthew dressed and fed and all of us out the door. That is my excuse as to why I look so bad every day.
Look at my big boy!! I can't believe it is time for you to go to school. It amazes me how much they learn at this age. School has been a little difficult for us. This is Reeves' second week and I hope now that he is used to the routine. I have been spending a lot of time at the school. He did not want to be there AT ALL! The teacher has been wonferful. One day, I stayed until 8:45 trying to get out of there. His teacher tried everything and I tried to make a break for it a couple of times. Reeves was not having that at all. After a few adjustments, he is now well on his way. We have npt accomplished daycare yet for after school. He has been coming to work with me since he started school and let me tell you, I get nothing done with him there. He says he has had enough changes and he could just come to work with me to make pennies. I am so proud of him and how much he is learning. He came home one day last week saying his months of the year and days of the week. I was very impressed on how much he is learning. We will see how this week goes to see if he will finally make it to the after school program. WHo knew how hard this could be!!

How exciting! Where is he going? I am sure that he will do just fine. This is always such an adjustment period for kids as well as their parents!!!!
I feel you pain Catherine! We started school last Thursday and missed Friday b/c of a fever. Today was not good. I thought this Moma thing got easier but I am finding out it just gets harder. We went from bottles to lunch boxes and homework. I don't like growing up :)
You are one of the prettiest girls I know. You cannot say that you look bad everyday when I KNOW that you do not.
And starting school is very hard. Even though Cathryn went to day care from the time she was eight weeks old, she struggled with Kindergarten. She cried almost everyday, and it was very hard for me to leave her like that. We even had a call from the teacher one day because Cathryn had thrown her shoes across the room and announced that she "was done!" I could hear her screaming in the background that she "had had enough of this place!"
So, see, it could be worse. Kids take time to adjust, and Reeves will be JUST FINE.
Im sure that was hard! That is neat that he is learning so much that has got to be fun seeing him learn!
